    graphics card question

    i was gonna get a new graphics card and i was about 2 get the 1gb NVIDIA 7950 but the system reqs say the NVIDIA cards can only go up to the 6800, i know it wont run with a graphics card thats to low, but one thats to high??

      i know thats what i though, just wondern cus some really old games from like 2001 cant play on my comp

        Please dont get a 7950 now...Wait a little while and see if they work out the kinks with those...

            ya, 7950 will only work with a mobo bios update and may give even worse performance than a 7900gtx sli rig. not really worth it yet.

              The only reason anyone should buy the 7950GTX is if they are insane and want to go quad SLI. Not worth it IMO, there's not even much point in getting 7900GTX in SLI as once the DX10 cards are out they will put it to shame.

              7800GTX SLI is plenty good enough for months to come.
