Should I upgrade the Motherboard to SLI? I only have a little more money I can spend on the motherboard.
Also would this case+power supply be better?

All looks good, but i would reccomend waiting a week for conroe to come out and get a motherboard that supports it. The case is up to you, they are both good.

What is psi?

the case and PSU u first chose are good enough if not better. though, u dont want to get the dual core versions? it will help alot.

well, my budget is around 1300 and no more then 1400 including tax and stuff

i built my friends computer for about 1400, he may not be runnin the 7900GT, like you were lookin at but instead he is runnin 2 7800GT's

All of those parts look good for an AM2 system. Don't worry about an SLI board if you're not going to be running SLI. The only thing I would change is the processor to a dual core 3800+ after the prices drop on the 24th it should be $169 US.

No, thats single core. The dual core will be an X2 3800+ at 2Ghz each.

anything with 2 like X2 or Core 2 as well as Pent D are dual cores, everything else is single core

but good comp anyways
