Slow Loading

Ok when i first received my Pentium 4 it only took me about a minute to join any server (whether it be in California or in the UK) server, but after ive had it for a month or 2 it has been getting progressively slower, now it takes me about 5 min to connect :shock: Do you guys have any ideas of why this could be, specs are in sig

You only have 1Gb of ram and you are probably getting overloaded with startup programs and spyware since you first got your PC. BF2 is already using alot of ram and with other programs running it's accessing the page file on your hard drive which is alot slower than physical ram.

You need to run some spyware scans and only run minimal programs when playing BF2. I'd shut down everything in your startup menu except maybe your AV program.

Press Ctrl Alt Del and show us a screen of your active processes.

ya. goto run, msconfig, then stop any unnecessary programs from loading at startup. 2nd, get more ram, 2gb would be better.
