I think it's time for a PSU upgrade!

I currently have a 500w Dynamo PSU. Yes, you guys have probably NEVER heard of this power supply. Ive heard so much bad stuff about it and have decided to upgrade to this one.

Im experiencing lame FPS drops in-game (below 10 in arty strike) and was wondering if it was my power supply.

comments and suggestions please =)

The dilemma: My old PSU has two sockets at the back for my (very old) LCD and the other socket for getting the power from the wall basically. BUt this PSU only has one socket on the back. Is this going to screw me over? How can a PSU have only ONE socket behind it. Where wil my LCD get it's power and where will my PC get its power?

Doesn't your LCD plug into a wall outlet or a surge protector? I've never seen an LCD plug into a Power Supply. As for the FPS drop, maybe your vid card is about to go BOOM? Maybe your graphic settings are set too high. a 500w PSU is more then enough for your vid card. I have a 400w with a 7900gt and it runs fine (except I need 1 more GIG of RAM).

some power supplies allow for the monitor to draw power from it instead of from the mains. well, i think u gotta be more comprehensice and specific on your problem before anyone can really help you on this.
