How do I install a sound card to a Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard? I don't want to pay a 90 dollar service charge for a less than 20 dollar piece of equipment...

Turn computer off, put card in open pci slot. Turn computer on, wait for Found new hardware wizard to pop up, hit cancel. Install drivers, reboot and start using the new card.

yep, turn off. open it up, stick it in the PCI slot, make sure its in all the way (dont break it), screw it in.

turn on the computer and if you can go into the BIOS and disable the onboard sound, and if you can then dont.
log back in, install drivers and plug your speakers/headphones into the new card.
