6800GT 256mb AGP vs 7600GS 256mbAGP???

hey guys, im about to buy a new video card, the one i actually have is a 6200 256mb, AGP... i dont have money to upgrade to a PCI-X system, my current rig is:

P4 Intel 2,6
Intel 865(something) MB AGP 8x
1024 Corsair Ram Dual Channel
Geforce 6200 256mb

anyways, i allways wanted a 6800GT for my pc, but now im seeing at these 7600gs Video cards, i cant afford a 7800 because in my country they are very expensive, so i was wondering wich one is better for my pc???

do you think with that card i can play BF2 or even Oblivion at high settings and good framerates??? i play BF2 at medium settings and good framerates with my video card and i dont know how, because everybody says that's impossible =P

but for example, oblivion is poorly optimized and i have to play it at very very very veeeeeeeeery low settings and its anoying, serously...

do not go for the 7600gs...its crap compared to the 6800gt. dont look at their model numbers cause that doesnt mean anything...look at the specs

6800GT will blow 7600GS out of the water. i tried a 7600GS and both my x1300pro and X850XT PE beat it easily.

The 6800GT is equivelent to my X800XL, and i could prob run oblivion at 1024x768 at med settings. ANyways, the 7600GS isn't available for AGP, the 7800GS is.

yea, I was fixin' to say that,

it's the 7800 GS.

If there was a choice between the 7600 and the 6800, go for the 7600.

The 6800 doesn't have SM3.0, and several other features, which is why I say go for the 7600. The performance is pretty much the same, AND you get SM3.0, etc. with teh 7600.

The 6 series has SM3.0, it's just the old radeons of my gen didn't have SM3.0, at that time, SM3.0 wasn't importnat at all, now it isn't that important either, except for the 3dmark06 benchmarks, which require SM3.0 for two of their tests.

The performance of the 7600 GS is between a 6600 GT and a 6800 GS. Get the 6800 GT.

and the fact that the 7600GS doesn't have AGP helps as well, and it may be hard finding a 6800GS nowadays. Anyways, wreck, why don't you post more at the FG forums?

That 7600GS you listed is PCI-e, anyways, uh 6800GT is a bit out of date, it was 'replaced' by the 6800GS, which has been 'replaced' by the 7600GT.
