I am not sure if I will be able to play BF2 with my comps specs and especially the graphics card:

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.00GHZ
768 MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440

you will need a new card. Seeing as how the rest of your rig isnt THAT great, I wouldnt get anything too good. a 5700 is a good card.

I used to have that graphics card, it couldn't even handle Doom 3 with everything on low very well atall. So no, it probably won't work. Just upgrade your graphics card to something more modern, and get an extra 256mb ram and you'll be set to go!

well dont be so sure. I recommended something like a 5700 for two reasons.

1. he has a low budget rig, so buying something for a good amount of money might be a waste.
2. the rest of his system will probably bottleneck it.

if you plan on keeping all of those components for a long time, then a 6600gt might be the way to go depending on your budget.

And he has PCI, not agp or PCI-e, so he can't get the 6600GT.

I had a 5900XT OC from BFG that was quite good (for it's time). Played the demo pretty good at low resolutions. Do they still sell that card?

Can't find one at any of the larger more trusted distributers (newegg, ZZF, etc).

I've found em from $75.00 - $199.00, but not at a site I'd post a link for since I've never done buisness with them.

I did lose the fan on it, but put an NV3 Silencer on it. Still running in my freind's gradeschoolers computer.
