We could have the tech forum not be a sub-forum

seriously, all the unneeded work could be avoided if an admin tweaked the forum titles to more accurately reflect the contents and then removed the sub forums.

I've said it before and will say it again, it took me about a month of actively posting in the support forum to even notice there was a tech sub forum. Most people are not trained to look for sub forums. It's an unwinnable battle, when faced with retraining every single person who visits the forum, or changing the forum organization, I would pick the latter.

An all in one codec pack doesn't mean it really has all codecs. There are some very obscure codecs out that aren't very popular, but are still used. What you need to do is try and open it in WMP and note the codec error code, google it, and find the coresponding codec and find a pack that contains it.
