Monitor & Card Problem

Hey all , i've messed a bit with the video settings , and created an issue i can't solve , the monitor has some sort of dots or very little lines that blink all over - coming and going - during gameplay , but they appear in the menus as well .
I took a screenshot , and surprise ! nothing there so it gotta be an issue between the card (Nvidia 6600 , 256 Mb) and the monitor (Philips 19'' LCD). Otherwise my specs are :
P 4 3GHz + 1 Gb of Ram etc.
If anyone has an idea how to solve this , i'd appreciate an advice .

Try the monitor on a diffrent computer. If the problem exists still something with the monitor is bad, possibly the cable.

Stupid question but have you tried uninstalling your graphics card drivers, and then removing your video card in device manager and rebooting?

I still ahvent tried any re-installing or anything , but this thing was also happening with my old CRT monitor , with a certain graphics settings ....
And i played just fine till a day ago , when i started messing withj the settings , and changed something - and i cant remember what exactly and it started blinking like that again ... Though someone has an idea what might've been causing this .

Well it could be a number of things, bad refresh rate, improper resolution, etc.

Well the res i play is 1280x1024 , and it worked fine . refresh rate was 75 Hz . Other than that , hell i wish i remembered before i started messing with that .
could u recommend some setup that works for ya ?

shouldn't be anything wrong with that card, that res, and that refresh.

to be a driver issue, imho.

reinstall drivers, reseat your gpu, clean out the inside of the case, and...pray when you turn it on.

I agree with megawhompertoo, just reinstall it. Take you all of 10 mins and less hassle.
