Re: This is Insane
oh, haha i was looking at the CPU ID, and it said Core 2 2.93ghz. I guess it IS 5ghz. wow nvm. ANYTHING oced to 5ghz will own super pi. all it proves is that conroe is SUPER good for OCing!! which is always a plus. i wonder what the conroe at stock 2.93 gets....Comment

Prob using at least a phase change, most likely Dice (dry ice) or LN2 (liquid nitrogen).Originally posted by sackynutoh, haha i was looking at the CPU ID, and it said Core 2 2.93ghz. Re: This is Insane
It was on LN2.
You won't be getting anywhere near that with a normal Conroe processor. You could maybe do it at home if you got LN2, a heatsink, and all that good stuff, but obviously that can't be sustained. Basically, don't expect to be getting a sub-10s SuperPi 1M time anytime soon. I'm still going to be satisfied with my 3.5Ghz E6600 getting sub-15s SuperPi times.
That said, that SuperPi time is sexy.Comment
