I'm running it on a laptop. Its a Dell Inspiron 9200, about 2 and a half year old. It has a built in ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 card. It used to run nicely on medium, but lately i've been dropping down to low to keep the FPS up. I got a friend with a loptop w/ ATI x1600, and he runs it on high with no problem.

Just make sure its a dedicated videocard, not a crappy motherboard card like Intel Extreme Graphichs or something like that.

My friend has a top of the line laptop, widescreen etc, and I play BF2 on that sometimes and the graphics are really good, mediums and highs with AA 4x.

Im running on a laptop with 512 MB of RAM and this radeon xpress 200M card, doesn't seem to cut it. cant run 1.3 patch and the game doesnt start up into movie sequence.

512 ram is VERY little. ATI x200 sucks.

I did for awhile. I've got a Dell Inspiron E1705 with 2GB of RAM and an nVidia 7900 Go GS.

The game ran beautifully...until the system would crash. For whatever reason, the system would ONLY crash if I ran with both memory chips installed but never when I ran with only 1.

A replacement is en route to my location at the moment. :)

I have a Dell xps M170 2ghz 1gig, geforce go 7800gtx and bf2 runs great on it at 1920x1200. I havent had a chance to try different video setting configurations, but so far frame rates havent been a problem.

My lucky housemate uses his work laptop and plays on max graphic settings. it's a nice job with widescreen, 2gb ram, and i think an x1400x Ati card. I'm sure he doesn't do much work on it....

I run it on a Fujitsu Siemens 17" widescreen, 2ghz Centrino Pentium M, nVidia GeForce Go6800 256mb, 1gb Ram (upgrading to 2gb in the next couple of weeks) with an 80gb hard drive. Will run no problem, that includes Special Forces which apparently sometimes runs slower than Vanilla BF2 on certain machines. I wouldnt go any lower than this but i know people who use lesser spec laptops that dont have a problem.

I used to play on my inspiron 9100 with an AGP ATi 9700. It sucked, all low settings, low fps, low everything.

2.8 P4
9700 agp
512mb ram

When in counterstrike 1.6 I would play, it would dip down to 30fps but not lag it was amazing. But I would get 70+ fps just walking around
