Im looking for a high end mouse (corded) which will last me for more than 4 years or so. I have $60 to spend on one. What do you guys recommend? The Razer? The MX518?

yeah, unless your left handed, id definately say go for the Logitech G5. Say, you wouldnt by chance want to buy mine?? The new black G7 is calling my name...

I dont think being left handed makes a huge difference. Does it? Razer copperheads are so damn expensive and I cant order them online. I'm not going to comment on the lefthand vs right hand thing... but personally I like the Mx518, it has the extra side buttons, that I find invaluable for web browsing, and are nice for binding game functions to.Comment

About 20 of that is for the packaging, extensive manual and e-penis value of owning an expensive mouse.Originally posted by spyro415

5 of the remaing goes towards the manufacturing of the actual mouse, usually done in a small house on the side of a Tibetan mountain.

The remaining 10 helps buy the MD of the company a nice suite since although he had no actual role in the invention or creation of the product he would like to pretend that he did so he can address conferences and look big and clever.
The Razer comes with a flashy LED in the mouse and on the fly sensitivity. It uses a super accurate laser to allow it to be totally inaccurate if used on certain mats. But i think generally you get a better feeling product when you spend that much, given the mouse and keyboard are the only part of the computer you actually have to touch you should allow a large budget for them and try to get the best, its far better to have a slightly worse graphics card and a more comfortable interface.Comment

I use the G7 (cordless) and love it so I guess I would recommend the G5 (corded version of the G7) from logitech. I believe it's under $60 at newegg.Comment
