Indeed you have to account for OEMs taking their share, which will most likely get the majority of them.

Ah, but Intel is charging everyone the same price. Thus Newegg gets as many as they want, and are not picked over Dell or HP. Also, I've seen websites that have pre-ordered [thousands of] Conroes.

Also Intel hasn't given specifics as to if they begin shipping to retailers on July 23, or retailers will ship on the 23rd. All they have said is they will ship on the 23rd. If it is the first then it will be AT LEAST a month before they are widely available.

As of the first week of July, e-tailers will start recieving the Conroe processors (you didn't expect them to ship on the release date, did you?).

It helps to read the posts of those more informed than yourself.

Ok then, show me proof, irrefutable proof that Intel will be shipping early July and retailers will have them late July.

And proof that the OEMs aren't going to be buying the majority of them, saying they're the same price doesn't matter. Intel cares about supplying the OEMs more, as that is where their bread and butter are.
