ok, so would a raptor sata 10,000 rpm drive be faster than a raid 0 7,200 sata drive?

Really depends on what you're doing. In load times for instance the raptor would be better, but for transferring large amounts of data to and from the drive the Raid is better.Originally posted by bigpappacool thanks, that was the answer i was looking for,

have you tried putting two raptors in a RAID0? I had mine like that originally and I had a ton of problems. kept crashing and getting corrupt files. finally I just re did everything and used one as my system drive and the other for games.
