    New system, new video card...Question

I just bought Asus Motherboard with AMD 4400+ Dual Core Athlon™ 64 Processor, 2 Gigs RAM, etc... and the LeadTech 7900GT TDH card ... (http://www.neoseeker.com/Hardware/Pr...adtek_7900_gt/)

The MB and video are SLI compliant... My question is if I were to get an additional card for SLI, would I see a difference in BF2? Is it worth it?

    Thanks!

What size screen do you have and what resolution do you run it at?

SLI should'tr eally do a huuuuuge difference as they claim. The real performance gain I believe is no more than 50%

          30% is about the average.

19" LCD, and usually at 1280x1024 or something close...

As Jimmy said, it is not worth it for that resolution. I would say you need an absolute minimum of a 20" widescreen before SLI becomes useful.

you seem to have a really nice setup at the moment, do you REALLY think you actually need anything better right now?

Nvidia claim SLI can be 1.9 times better, but as jimmy said above, usually only about 30% better, and im pretty sure for bf2 you should already get away with all graphics settings up full without gameplay interuptions with your current setup. so no, it would not be worth getting a second graphics card, maybe half a year down the road or so when the 7900gt's come down in price...
