graphix card advice plzz

im in the market for a new graphics card pci e the budget is £100 - £130. the mb is a gigabyte ga-81915g at the moment i have a asus extrem ax 300se. a *hit card i know. :p but that's the way it is. i want to run it at at lest medeom settings:evil: im not in to over clocking buttttttttttttttttt who knows what the future holds

6600GT would be the miimun... i would say the x800 or the 6800GT would do. Not sure of the pricing of them though.

X1600PRO can play on all high (and AA on x4 or x2) with 30FPS, it's quite ok.

I would recoment the 7600GT over the x1600, just depends how much he can afford.

I would recoment the 7600GT over the x1600, just depends how much he can afford.

X1600 has been proven to be worse than the 6600GT, so i would def rec the 7600GT over it.

Nvrmind, got confused with the 6600GT and the 6800gt, i swear i thought i saw somewhere that the 6600GT was doin better than the X1600, i'll look into it more.

My HiS X1600PRO 256MB with IceQ together with my 1gig RAM and Athlon 64 3000+ ran on all high with some AA on 30FPS.

so true. too many people claiming they can run on all high, with rigs that obviously can't run it that way.

My favorite is, "I can run on all high, with textures set to medium". That's not "all high" since textures are set to medium.

Haha! It could run on 1024x768 with 16 BOTS. Two errors there, Brit. Might want to consider THINKING before POSTING, please :)?
