Logitech PS2 headset no longer working?!?

Since I installed the X-Fi Platinum (besides the normal problems associated with this sound card, grrr...) I cant use my PS2 USB headset for the build in VOIP. Now I can understand if Creative and Dice might not be working on the same level with the front Mic 2 plug on the bay drive add on, but why the does something not associated with Creative all of a sudden not work with BF2 anymore? Not only does the X-Fi card change your settings when you start BF2 it also does not alow you to use anything else. I can't use a regular mic in the back plug because I already have audio input plugged in there.

Luckly I can still use my headset with TS, the front mic input is a pain to set up with TS though.

Make sure your Logitech USB head set doesn't have a broken wire coming from the mute switch. The wires tend to break there as there is tension there when you move around or drop the head set.

I had a similar problem and just repaced the HS. It seems that the design has a flaw, going from a heavy gauge wire into the Mute switch and coming out with a relativly light weight wire. I solved the stress problem by wrapping the wire around the Mute button clip a couple times thereby eliminating the stress where the wire connects. Problem free now for 6 months...

I'm using the rear audio in for a TV converter, since it only has one plug for Audio-in/Mic-in/Digital-Out and I've always used the headset just for TeamSpeak and the in game VOIP, the sound for the game is stilll being pumped out of my surround sound speakers and I have a nice Logitech Premium Stero Headset for playing at night, but thats connected to the front jacks on the bay drive and the mic 2 on there isn't supported by BF2.

Teamspeaks working great the way I've always run it since it seprately seeks out the devices, but the BF2 VOIP is being a little b...
