    New ram

    Hi i currently have 2056mb ram just normal pc3200 stick and i was wondering what the best ram to buy would be and would i get better performance?

    It would give you better performance, but the amount of money you would spend and the increase in fps you would get wouldnt be worth it. not in a long shot. The only reason to upgrade to hiigh quality RAM is if you are going to be overclocking lots.

      really ok then i guess i will stick with what i got :) just got my x1900xt and fianlly got it working :)

          2gigs is enough, you won't see any perf increase, and since the dawn of the true ddr2 era is coming, getting another 2 gigs isn't really being future proof, as when your processor wears out, then you need a new CPU, with a new mobo, that only supports DDR2, which will make you weep that you wasted mmoney on unneeded ram.

            what eddy said, just backin him up. except you dont NEED ddr2 and AM2, s939 aint too bad if you wanna keep your ddr.

              Well, if your gonna upgrade, or build a new computer, getting AM2 or waiting for Conroe is the best way to go.
