    BF2 CDs to DVD?

Is there any way I could take all my BF2 cds and put them on one DVD, pretty much so I could put it in and let it install its self without switcing CDs? Pretty much everytime a new patch comes out I end up reinstalling, this could cut down on the pain.

I don't think so because BF2 uses SafeDisc 4.00.001, which is cd copy protection. The only thing I know you can do is make a mini image.

Couldn't you just do what EA suggest when installing manually?

Copy the 3 CDs to the HDD and run from there, or burn them onto a DVD. Instructions from EA Customer Support here:

You would probably still need the CD in drive when playing or using a mini-image of the CD in e.g. Daemon Tools, but installing should be easier.

yeh dont even need the cd either just download a no cd patch and extract it to the same place where the .exe file is and overwrite it

The easiest way would be to rip ISOs of each disk, then burn them still in ISO format to DVD. You would need a virtual drive to mount them though.

                Copy protection isn't an issue.

this is true you could get a virtual drive by downloading alcohol 120% or something like this

There no need to use the old-fashion ***** cracks, because mini images I mentioned or full images are better, i.e. you don't mess with the game files, and don't have to worry about PB checks and you don't have to find a new one each time there's a new patch.

You COULD transfur your CD's to a DVD but I dont really thing it is in the terms and conditions. You could make images of the 4 CD's & place the images on a single DVD and then mount them. I'm not sure if its exactly what your looking for but its easier then using each CD one after the other.

The mounting software I use are below
                      Alcohol 120%
                      Clone CD

Ive been using a mini image for a while. What I was looking for was more along the lines of converting my CD version into a DVD version. Almost like a slipstreamed unattended windows install.

legally, you are allowed to make a back up of anything, from movies, dvds, etc.

I am not sure how to get it slip streamed like ya want.

Did you try the the thing I linked to above, where you copy the CDs to 3 seperate folders and start the install from the folder that has CD1?
You just burn the DVD with the 3 folders and go from there.

Blindwrite will make full images of the BF2 CDs and DVDs, that what I used to put them on my HD so I wouldn't need to disc.
