Quick question

I have just built my son a pc for playing bf2 in it i have put..

p4 3ghz processor
450watt psu
pny 6600 258mb nvidia on agp
asus ps4800 mx se motherboard
2x512mb ram ddr2 400
120gb western digital hd 7200rpm


Now all i want to know will the 6600 play the game as i have seen it isnt supported...

Just that when i loaded up it kept crashing to desktop alot its the bf2 deluxe version i installed and patched with full 1.3 patch

Yeah it'll work, its not the best card for the game but it should run it at a mixture of medium/low settings. Can you run the game without patching at all? If so, your machine just has a problem with the 1.3 patch, like a lot of people. If it won't run without the patch, let us know as you will have other issues.

The supported graphics card list is old, very old, and therfor some cards aren't there just yet :).

So the system is fine its just the dreaded CTD of patch 1.3 thats causing the problems.....

This is weird i bought my son the deluxe version and that kept crashing to desktop so i thought i will install it with the key from my versions of bf2 and all last night it worked a dream no CTD at all....

So it has got me wondering if this CTD thing isnt something to do with the verifier in the game having problems with some keys....
