Mic issue.

I did a search and didn't see anything on this.

I am using a USB headset and from the very begining BF2 doesn't see my mic. even when I tried the testing right after installig the game when I would talk I'd see nothing. it works fine in TS and anything else, just not BF2. Am I missing anything that might be the problem? Or short of reinstalling the game can you think of anything to try?

Is it one of those mics that has a built-in sound driver? My friend has one that is it's own sound card and it wreaks havoc with his internal sound card. Check that. You may have a conflict between them.

it'st he plantronics DSP headset so it's kind of got it's own processor I guess. I use the onboard sound for my speakers (when I use them). but like I said it's fine with everything else.
