Is this a horrible sound card?

I have a Creative Soundblaster 16 PCI..lol
i know its bad..but not sure if i really need a new one..
i have the sound settings on medium and the music and effects skip and lag and pause often.

Turn the sound settings to low-software. If you want better sound you kinda need a better card. At least a audigy 2 zs or higher.

if u got a bit more money, go straight for the x-fi xtrememusic. its a v gd investment. sounds superb. im sure u want to hear those little grenades landing around u too right?
