Bandwidth Test

Whats up everybody. I while ago i wanted to compare the speeds of my wireless laptop vs. my gaming computer in my house, and i came across this bandwidth tester on cnet.com. http://reviews.cnet.com/7004-7254_7-0.html
I was just wondering what all you guys would score on this , because everyone compares 3dmark scores and such, but connection speed is very crucial also, so what the heck. So if you could run the little test and then post your connection specs, that would be greeaat. Heres mine below:

I'm at work right now, so I'll do that one:

Connection Speed: 3000 kb (It's kinda slow today).

Hate to tell you this, but that test site is a joke. If my speeds were anywhere near what it said it was (1500 kpbs), I would be tearing into my ISP to get it fixed considering I am on a 6000/800 connection.

This is a better site to test your speed on if you live in North America (just select the server closest to you)

Using the Chicago server (I live in Toronto), I get 5909/760, which are the same speeds I get using my ISP's own test site.

The problem wiht the C-Net test is you have no idea where it is located, and just about anything can affect the result (distance to server, internet traffic in general, a problem with your own ISP, routing, etc). While the Speakeasy test is fairly reliable, ideally the best test site to use is from your own ISP (if they have one).

Using that site, I got:
Download Speed: 32156 kbps (4019.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 4570 kbps (571.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

From a better site, my cable modem dl is at 5700 kbps. It's usually around 6500, but I've been dling a lot of gay porn recently.

Well it could have been a good thread, before everybody started using different programs making it impossible to compare. My programs better than yours, no mine's better, no mine is.
