This computer will deffintly run Battlefield 2.. but how well I'd like to know

could anyone take some educated guesses:
would high settings work?
would FPS be decent?
would lag be under control?

Nah, not oudated yet, if you get AM2, get a cheap one so you can replace it with a good one when the 65nm ones come out.

It's outdated now, am2 is replacing it. You should go am2 anyway, otherwise you'll have to buy new ram the next time you build a new comp.

Heres the deal guys.. I plan on keeping this computer for 4 years!
Only upgradeds will be a second video card (sli mode)
and Windows Vista/Dx10 (in a year or 2)

I don't plan on updating the proccesor and I don't plan on spending more than $300 on one..
If you see a better proccesor that is compatible with everything else and is under $300 let me know..

Yes it's all compatible, but you are making a big ****ing mistake. It's your choice.

Me, or him... Meh, i don't got enough $$$ to go buy an AM2 mobo, i already got two s939 mobos, so can't do much, unless the prices of AM2 mobos and the prices of AM2 CPUs drop DRAMATICALLY by mid august, i can't do nothin but buy what's left of S939. Plus, HOPEFULLY i won't be upgading any time soon.

Wreck, that's what everybody does, they always have a prejudice or bias before asking others opinions, they usually want people to agree with them to make them feel good and make them feel like they are making the right decision.
