    512MB ATI Radeon X1900 XTX

I'm considering this GFX card and had a quick question..

What type of power supply should I purchase to feed this thing?

If your buying a new PSU you might as well get a 600w one so if you want to go SLIor crossfire in the future you wont need to buy another PSU

Yes 450w will do just fine

The performance difference between an XTX and an XT is about 5%, yet the XTX usually costs 20% more.

Right now you can get XT's for $370 after rebates, and XTX's for around $455 at NewEgg. The money you save = a free PSU.

Like the others said, a 450watt or greater is what you want. Though you can get by with less power if you have a skeleton system.

I'd go for a 500 -550W Antec, it leaves plenty of room for addons, or any other modifications you might make in the future.

I heard Antec was a really poor PSU.

Are you friggin kidding me, Antec makes some of the best PSUs ever, anyways, heres trusted PSU brands:
                PC Power and Cooling
                Antec
                OCZ
                Seasonic
                FSP (forton source)
                Enermax

Anyways, get from one of those, FSP has cheap but reliable and good PSUs. Always make sure you got a good amount of amps on your +12v rail (at least a total of 30a combined), and DON"T get the Antec NEO HE series, htose things have a TON of voltage on the +12v rail, but they have less than 20a on the +5v rail, and most motherboards need at least 20a on teh +5v rail, so not worth it. I would reccomend getting a FSP psu, or a Antec Smartpower 2.0 or ANtec Truepower 2.0.

My FSP 600 watt all-in-one has a combined 60amps on the quad 12v rails.

It's also rated for SLi 512 7900GTX and Crossfire 1900XTX.

I also paid $140 for it after shipping.

Just make sure it's a good, name brand PSU, and meets or exceeds the qualifications for the video card you are buying.

Antec makes some of the best PSU's for the price and wide avaliability in non techy stores like Best Buy.

There are more sophisticated brands and those like Fortron that are cheaper and offer an equal or higher quality, but Antec is no slouch.

Or you could let it go hungry for a day and give one of them to me. Two would be nice...

Well, then you got ripped off. You should have browsed the selection better. I just checked 10 seconds ago and found more than a dozen XT's(NOT XTX's)...for under $499.

                            Here is the $370 one:

                            another for $375:

                            another for $387:

                            .
                            .
                            .
Even if you incorrectly meant the XTX...here are much cheaper ones than your $499 price:

                            MSI XTX: $419

                            Diamond XTX: $435

                            Powercolor XTX: $470

                            .
                            .
                            .
I think you should get on the phone with NewEgg for a return pronto! You have an XTX waiting for you in place of the overpriced XT you just bought.

                            No thanks necessary
