New to BF2. Will my system handle it?

Hey peoples!

So i currently play Counterstike condition Zero.. WAY too much according to my wife Anyone who plays CZ may have run in to me

But if not its cool, anywhoo! been checking out other games to get into as if my additction was not enough! So i have been looking into BF2, also was concidering Cal of Duty2.. but too out dated in terms of weapons and such.

so my Question is, will my system run the game correctly! Yes i can read the requirements for the game but im sure we have all seen this where our systems match the requiremnts but still end up with issues!

This is what i have!

AMD Athalon 64 3700+
2.5 gigs of ram
ASUS A8N-VM Motherboard
nVIDIA GeFORCE 7600 GT OC ( overclocked) 256MB GDDR3 ram
19 inch Samsung LCD monitor
200gig STA Harddive.

Im pretty sure im good to go, Also in Toronto. Ontario Canada using the Rogers Extreme highspeed internet.

Hmm.. this more like a topic used to show off your computer than ask for help. Either way, yes, your computer should be able to run BF2 with no problems at all, short of the ones that come with the game itself (*cough* patch 1.3 *cough*).

I did mean new to playing BF2!

As for showing off, sorry don't mean to come across that way, if i want to show off i would have made up a system much more powerfull than this.. The fact of the matter is my system is overkill for Counterstrike yet i still have issues with some Lag when people throw smoke grenades and such!

I have done everything Steam suggested including formatting and re installing XP Clean. So yes i am asking to see if this will be surfice as i do not want to spend the cash on the game if i can not run it.

I just picked up the Video card today, as i was told it was a better one for playing BF2 and other games.. currently i have been running the onboard 256 meg video card and im hoping this new video card will resolve my CZ issues with the smoke grenades.

you should have absolutely no problem, my system specs are below, and i have no problem on medium, so i think you can handle high

Yes, your computer can handle it, my old computer could handle it, and this is my old computer:

CPU: P4 2.8ghz
Memory: 1gb total (1x512mb, 2x256mb)
Hard Disk: 120GB Seagate
Mobo: i have no idea (some SOny mobo)
GPU: ATi Radeon 9200

I could run the demo of BF2 (built my rig in the demo days) on the internet on all low, so you must be fine lol.
