    Re: Nos

i'm trying to get my ducks in a row right now, since i've got the money to purchase the NOS if it's not too unreasonable. they make mass amounts of it pretty easily. they've even talked about storing it underwater in the oceans. i read a lot of the toxicology report that was done by the military to copepods, an indicator of life in the ocean (sort of like toads in a pond will start growing extra limbs and eyeballs in heavily polluted areas).

      My opinion?

waste your money. It won't be worth it. Nitrous Oxide is rather expensive now days, and you'll have to come up with a system to properly distrbute it. On top of that, you'll still rely on the regular cooling fans to get the NO2 around the case, which means it won't be a silent operation.

Honestly, go with water cooling. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches in the future, and have a totally silent computer.

I believe you will actually get better cooling doing water cooling.

my brother thinks the sound will probably be a problem, considering his experience using it in automotive motors. i am looking into alternative cooling.

they do make regulators, like with underwater breathing tanks, that might work, but i see how this venture could get expensive with only a novel idea pushing it. i merely wanted to use a relatively safe gas to cool the air as it seeped into the computer case. it seems feasible, at least in my mind it does (which isn't saying much ).
