i alway get 100 fps. on a good server and when on a bad server like 60 or 80.

I'm sure it's not the bare minimum to run everything maxed out but my rig (see sig) runs everything maxed out.

Defrag -> Reformat -> Reinstall nothing but BF2/Xfire/MSN/Vent

I would do that except I'm a CS student so I need all sorts of wacky software in addition to my precious, precious games.

AT WHAT RESOLUTION... to run max settings at.

It all depends on what resolution. If you're running at 800x600... you won't need an SLI/Crossfire setup. Higher resolution... higher requirements for max settings.

Well ill soon have a 4800 Dule core, 2 gigs of XMS Corsair, x1900XT. so THose you can have on max, lol

Everyone post what you think you need to play BF2 on Max settings.

Uh, Max settings, well my setup runs max with an average of 35fps (with 6xaa and all that ****). In current gen hardware, this would be requirements to run max at least smoothly (above 25fps):
AMD 3000+ socket doesn't matter
Video Card: 6800GS (if htey still got em in stock), 7600GT
Memory: a gig, if you got bad internet, 2 gigs or you'll be lagging.
PSU: anything that can support your CPUa nd video card (don't go cheap)
Harddrive: Anything will work pretty much

if he is on LCD, resolution doesnt effect perfromance

That's what I have, and I run at 1600x1200, all in-game settings maxed out, and I get a solid 40-50 fps.

Oh, right, i forgot about 1600,1200 (my monitor only suppots 1280x1024). In that case, i guess that would be a nice setup.
