Everything is fine with that except the video card. Expect low settings with that card. First upgrade for you should be to a 7600 gt or higher....

I have exactly the same card and it runs fine on medium, with high geometry and view. Turn dynamic shadows and ligting off and its great.

New video card + .5 Gigs more RAM and you should run everything on high.

My friend has the same system in the form of a dell desktop and it works just fine. Don't expect it to play well though since the ins and outs of a laptop's hardware is pretty different.

Get atleast an x1000 series card. The x300 is not only slow and horrible, but its an older generation card, lacking shader 3.0 support.

Another thing, if this is a laptop, a 3ghz P4 is going to be immobile, and basically a furnace with no battery life.

That's wierd, I thought they would put a Pentium M or a Core Duo in there instead of a Pentium 4. If you haven't bought it yet, I'd go for a laptop with a Core Duo. As for the graphics, eh, you pay tons of money but only get medium quality graphics with laptops. If you want to play games well, I'd wait a little over a month and get a desktop :)
