I've just looked at this program which tells you about your system, and apparantly, here is the info about my RAM:

Slot #1: 1gb PC3200
Slot #2: 512mb PC2700
Slot #3: 256mb PC2100

Now as you can see, I've mixed 3 different types. Would this be slowing down my system or ruining it in any way? I've been getting slow performance on games where I don't believe I should be. Could this be the reason or doesn't it matter?

Yes, RAM runs as fast as the slowest man. Youve got a paraplegic in there.

Not he doesn't. The XP2400+ runs at 15x133=2.0 ghz, so he's not losing anything (that and XP cpu's tended to have issues if you ran the ram async from the fsb).

I've removed the 512 and 256, so I now have 1gb 3200 ram.

Now BF2 runs fine! It's got rid of my lag problems. Thanks guys
