Do you have the latest drivers? and in your driver settings, do you have Antalaising and anistophic filtering set to "application controlled"? Also, what are your computer specs? I have a 7600gs and run all settings high.....

first off, what are your computer's specs?

It's rather pointless to get a med-high end gfx card if you only have say 512mb of RAM.

There ought to be a sticky that says computer specs are needed to answer questions here...

To find out your frames per second, press the tilde (~) key and then type "renderer.drawfps 1" without the quotes. Your FPS will be the number on the left side of the slash in the very top left of your screen. Or you could just download and install FRAPS.

          1. post the REST OF YOUR SPECS
          2. find the actual FPS you are getting?
          3. be more realistic with the time it takes to load etc.
          4. what drivers are you using, are all your drivers up to date (gfx card, chipset etc)?

            Here are my computer specs-http://www.bizrate.com/desktopcomputers/pid293518242/information.html
Yep, I only have 512 mb of RAM, PC3200..lol. Im about to add 2xPC3200 512 MB Dual Chanel, but I don't know much about RAM also, so I dont know if I could keep my Hynix 2x512MB PC3200(I don't know much about computer HARDWARE)IM A **NOOOOOOOOOOOB**, Sorry.

What do you mean by Drivers...LOL..., all I did was put my 7600 GT into my PCI-E slot, went to BIOS menu put Video Adapter as PCI-E slot, rebooted computer, than just put the CD it came with and download it...

Antalaising and anistophic filtering set to "application ** how do you do that, and how do you find out.

okay, if you installed the disk that came with the card you should be fine (though you should haveuninstalled the previous card, dont worry for now)

if you have two open slots for RAM, just add the new two sticks in there and dont take out the old ones. your main problem is the ram, 512 ram sucks for bf2 and you cant do much more than low settings until you get more.

                Re: FPS, and graphics support.

yea, like sackynut posted, 512mb of RAM for bf2 is the pits. Increase that and you can start running on high.

you should still uninstall the drivers, and make a clean install. rewriting leaves some scrap from previous drivers causing major drops in performance.. reinstall your card..

                  1. uninstall drivers @ device manager

                  2. After rebot use driver cleaner pro(free btw) to get rid of any scrap left over.*choose ATI,nVIDIA unless you had another brand...

                  3. install latest drivers from nvidia..*might want to download them first b4 you start this whole process to save you time from being stuck in low res...

                    Re: FPS, and graphics support.

Yea, im going to just get 512x2 MB PC3200 Dual chanel, which i would have 1 1/2 gigs. I think I should be able to play on High than.

Oh yea I have a question, How long does it take to join a game, it takes me like litterally 8 minutes, it ****ES ME OFF  >> does it have to do with RAM, if i got 1 1/2 gig of ram would it load faster???? Because seroiusly it takes so long, I don't want to play it all, I'll rather play CS source or DOD source, which has better graphics and better connection. I mean seroiusly Bf2 has sucky graphics compared to cs:s and dod:s

                      Re: FPS, and graphics support.

I went from the oh-god-it-is-takin-10-minutes-to-load-a-map scream, much like yourself, to a quick, a couple second load.

                      How did I do it?

I went from 640mb of RAM to 2 gigs of RAM.
