Interesting enough, I reran the test a few times and my CPU usage dropped to 7-8%, but my burst rate dropped to like 215MB, with my read staying about the same.

Dunno how to account for the 11% CPU usage.... hmmm

RPM: 7200
Cache: 2MB
Results. 18.9ms, 3%, 49.1 MB/s

hmmm...does it make any diff if my pagefile is on an old, slower secondary hd (we're talking 14.4MB UDMA4)?

no, it shouldn't, see it only tests the drive you select.
