    Re: dx10

No, it would before vista is released. That would make no sense to release hardware, after the software that supports it is already out.

Anywho, the G80 is suspected to have it and will most likely be out later this year.

The top of the line model will most certanly be over $400US.

There will be a similar format of models 8300, 8600, 8800 or 8900.

R600 should be coming in December along with AMD's revision G processors. It will feature a new dual internal bridge for Crossfire and do away with the external dongle.

The G80 should come sometime this summer/fall before the R600 is released.

One thing that makes me think about the DX10 cards is the rumors about the power these cards need.

                  check this link:

Sorry, this is kinda off topic, but how much will VISTA cost?

Depends on the version, but the ultimate edition is rumored to cost around 300 (for the full).

I'll probably wait for the 2nd or 3rd Dx10 card. The 1st and 2nd series will most likely only be good for a game or two...like sm3.0 was for a long time.

I don't expect a Dx10 ONLY game for at least 2-3 years. Remember how ****ed all the Gf4 Mx owners were when BF2 came out?

(Insider Series) - While we don’t know the exact schedule and launch dates for NVIDIA’s newest core, we have been able to find out a couple of interesting things. Obviously, we couldn’t get an official confirmation from NVIDIA, but the following points are interesting enough to share.

                              1. It is running behind schedule. Apparently, NVIDIA has missed their targeted date for taping out the processor. A few manufacturers said they had been given feelers that the card might not make it to them as per the schedule.

                              2. The other thing we heard is that the G80 is going to be mostly G70/G71 with DirectX 10.0 stapled on. Meaning, that since the architecture is basically G70, it has not been built from the ground up, keeping DX10 in mind.

The delay could be due to the fact that NVIDIA is redoing the chip design. If that’s true, then it could imply that ATI will beat NVIDIA to the market. Otherwise, from what we hear, the G80 is supposed to be launched before the R600 and is expected to be priced lower
