7600GT fps probs

Alright i have a prob, when i play special forces maps sometimes my fps will drop to 15, i have a PNY 7600GT and im using warcat foreware 87.25 drivers. Anyone know why this is? here are my settings

SF is just not coded very well and is even more graphic intensive than regular BF2. Although on those settings I think you should be able to play it ok.....

Well sometimes in bf2 vanilla ill drop in the 20s, im just realy frustrated.

I dunno, I don't really mess with nVidias that much to know much about them..... One of my friends has a 7800GS and he gets about 20-30 fps....

try the newest nvidia drivers i think its like 91.28 or something like that

whats youre cpu make and speed? how mutch ram have you got?

High textures in bf2 need at least 1.5 gigs of ram, 2 really.

I have 1 gig of dual channel DDR2 pc4200 ram, a 305 watts psu, and an Intel Pentium 4 630 3.0Ghz cpu.

Your Powersupply is killing your card dude, you should get a new PSU soon or you may risk loosing your card for good. More ram would help tons aswell but before that look into getting a new and better PSU 400-500 Watts with atleast a 12v rail of 20A.

Are you sure thats what causing my problems, and its a dell so its probably going to be difficult to upgradethe psu.This is the card, it says a minimum of 300 watts but im not sure about the 12v rail. I havent had any random restarts or anything like that yet.

I wouldnt be suprised if it was your PSU. Go with a Tagan 480 U22, they have the best PSUs available.
