please help i'm having withdrawals!!!!!

Hi soldiers, I have an intel 4 3.0Ghz, 512mb ram, Ati x300 128mb i know this isn't great but it worked fine until i downloaded the new patches 1.2 -1.3. I have downloaded the most up to date drivers for my card but when in game my ping seems to be much higher around 400 and when in game its a bit sketchy, (it;s as though every second frame is missed) it plays but is unplayable. offline the game works fine. Is there anything i can do without upgrading or is it time to bite the bullet, please help BF2 rocks, any help would be much appreciated thanks boys and girls.

well first off what drivers do you have i used to have almost the exact same PC as you with a better CPU(Is that a Dell Dimension 4700?) so if you have catalyst 6.5 drivers try out the Omega version helped me.

Many people are getting these problems since the recent patches. If you want proof that it isn't your system, get the demo again, it works fine. I'm getting the same problems, and I tryed the demo and it ran how it used to. It's these new patches, hopefully the new one will fix it
