What is the highest performance laptop you can find based on these requirements

Can't be larger that a 15.4 screen
Must be widescreen
Must have a dual core processor
Must have at least 2 gigs of ram
Must have a graphics card that isn't onboard capable of having 256mb of ram or more i don't care if it is borrowed

So far I have found the Sony FE with the 7600 go

Why a laptop? You can get a desktop that's twice as fast for half the price.

The Asus A8Jm, its what i have, and i love it. Has about 3.5 hrs battery life, Go 7600 521MB, 1GB of RAM (up to 2 GB), 100GB HDD, 14 inch screen, light, high gloss screen, Core Duo T2400 CPU, yea.. its good.

Firstly i want a laptop because i can bring it easily to lan parties and i can also bring it on trips because i travel a lot

Also where can you get the A8Jm

It only have 1GB, you may want to upgrade that, make sure it can get 2 or you wil not be able to put testures on high.

Get some of the new DDR2 533Mhz if you can. runs great.

For a budget maybe 2500 max

Also what is better
Mobility Radeon X1600
Or
Geforce Go 7600
Both with 256mb ram

I also found this laptop which has 2gb ram and a x1600 with the ability to borrow 256mb more from the ram to get to a total of 512mb but im not sure if having a 7600 with 256mb

Im leaning to the sony though for a few reasons
1. Im an accident waiting to happen and i can get an accidental warrenty from sony
2. Sony allows you to trade in your laptop for credit to spend on other sony items (Gift Card iis similar to this)
3. Sony is a well known and trusted brand
