How do I update my drivers? System tweaks.

I'm just wondering if you have to uninstall the old ones first? If so where do I go looking for them and when I find them what now?

So I just go to the manufacture website download install away we go? Can it be this simple?

Some nice easy instructions would be fantastic. Tomorrow is the day I learn how to do this, overclock, basically tweak this machine. Today is a day of research so please fire away as I feel more than a little overwhelmed!

ok well for new drivers here are good steps
step1 download drivercleaner pro
step 2 download new drivers(with out installing them yet)
step3 Uninstall current drivers under control pannel
step4 reboot in safe mode run driver cleaner pro
step4 boot up install new drivers

what drivers are you talking about? generally maybe?

i would first download the new ones, and Driver Cleaner (if you want). o to add, remove programs in control panel as curtis said, and uninstall them and ONLY the ones you wanna uninstall. then use driver cleaner to get rid of anything the uninstallation missed (but, i didnt use to use Driver Cleaner and I cant tell the difference, better safe than sorry I guess).
then restart and install new ones.

make sure you do it in that order as curtis and I said. as for overclocking and tweaking, post again when you're ready if you want help its kinda intense.

As this Pc is only a week old how can I check that I eve need to do this?

Just got a driver cleaner so as soon as I know that I need to update my drivers I'll give it a bash.

you dont really NEED to, you might get a slight performance increase from it though.

NVIDIA always recommends uninstalling previous drivers and rebooting BEFORE applying new drivers. Just go to NVIDEA.com, select drivers for mobo (motherboard), select what type you need (nforce 4)...next download drivers at the same site for your vid card (select your card series 7)...next goto start>programs>nvidia control panel>uninstall>uninstall everything by following onscreen prompts...reboot...instal new drivers...reboot...DONE!

I'm just about to do this but when I go to the website there are multiple nForce4's to choose from. AMD, Inter etc. Which do I pick and I can't even find the one for my video card. I'm confused by when you say series 7. Firstly I couldn't see where it says series 7. Yeah but I think I can do this just point me in the right direction. Thanks all!

Okay I already had this driver. Why then can I not run the game on medium perfect? Any advice would be nice. How should I set my pc up? Is overclocking my only option now to make it run smoother?
