    Help with Applying thermal grease

I am planning on applying some new thermal grease to my 7800gt card

this is the stuff i will use

in reviews its slightly better than the Arctic silver 5

should i apply this to the core only or should i put it on the memory too?

only to the core you will need to remove the heatsink to do it

Somethings better than arctic silver 5? *gasp*

      Kidding, for arctic silver 5
For smaller things, just do a little dot (like a grain of white rice) of the stuff, bigger things, about the size of a BB. Smaller ones you'll need a clean creditcard to spread it around evenly, if it's something bigger like 64 bit processors, you just wanna pop a heatsink on and give it a little twist. Pop the heatsink on and have fun. I'm sure the stuff you bought comes with better instructions.

Applying it on all core componets would be nice for you PC, try the CPU,GPU mabye north and south bridge also.

Don't forget to clean the surfaces first using mineral spirits or acetone (nail-polish remover) first!!

Re: Help with Applying thermal grease

i already have some thermal grease cleaner

and the thermal grease comes with a free heatspreader so i wont have to worry about plastic bags etc

so for the memory will i need to leave the origional thermal grease on the pads?

                        YES

what else could i be referring to?

I still need a answer to this question:
"so for the memory will i need to leave the origional thermal grease on the pads?"
