Need Help

I'm new here,...So hello to everyone. Iv'e recently just got into BF2 and downloaded the demo a few days ago. I REALLY want to get this game becuase its awesome!!! Although, i'm having some trouble...I have all my settings on high, anti-aliasing on 6x, and the resolution is on...uh 1120x1234 (some number like that)with 75 hz. But im having serious problems with my graphics...It doesnt look that great.The outlining is choppy as well as the buildings and people...(Its not that smooth)so, I was wondering if i could get some help...Here's my computer specs-

Emachines-

1 gig RAM
ATI Radeon X800XL
3400+AMD Anthlon 64
My monitor is a peice of crap...Its a fat emachine 15 inch....

I'll send some pics in a bit, but if there is any solution for my graphics looking so choppy, and any way to fix them thank you...(Sorry if this was in the wrong section...I didnt have a lot of time)

you need to lower your graphics settings to medium and your AA to 2x, your system will not run this game on the setting you have set..

Really?...Well, it runs fine the graphics just look a bit scratchy..I thought my card was fine, but i guess not.

I agree and just a little advise for future gaming try to get more memory for your pc..this does help greatly.but as MYIS said lower your graphics settings also put you screen resolution down 60hz..that should make a difference..Good Luck

60hz is not the resolution, it's the refresh rate. The resolution should be set to 1024x758 for optimial setting with that card.

Welcome to a game that reallllllly hogs your computer power. I spent quite a bit of money trying to get it to run smooth.

BTW, if you want better loading times and the possibility of having higher graphic settings, you could get another gig of ram.

I should have got a better card when i had the chance...So, here's another question, online, what is the game like...Is it a teamwork kinda game..I cant wait to get it even though i have to put my graphics way down.

This game is so much fun that I blew about 400 Euro in an internet cafe over 3 months and as my girlfriend knew how much I'd eventually spend if I didn't get a pc in the house I then burnt 1550 Euro on all my kit and then got the top end internet all for BF2. Yes for me it's that good and I now spend too much time here in support and the tech center learning about computers just so BF2 will run better.

It's that kind of game.

Im getting the game tommorow... I have
512mb of ram- getting another 512mb tommorow aswell so ill have -1024
3.0 ghz.
256mb video card.
other pretty good stuff.
What setting should i use (resolution, hertz etc.) ???

whats the video card? make model brand,,

just stating that your getting a 256mb vid card could mean anything and not all work well with bf2 :)
