and with an X2 3800 & 3G ram, there is not reason it should of taken 2.5 hours..

I dont like the layout of the explorer with the preview crap, and couldnt find a way to turn it offComment

Re: Windows Vista Beta Opento Public
I love the new navigation of the windows explorer :) Way to go.
Dont know how I could ever live without that lol.
Back on XP anyways, not enough drivers available yet and that sucks balls..
I will wait until the whole driver situation is better so for now, XP is my home. yarrComment

Re: Windows Vista Beta Opento Public
yea, there were several driver conflicts while using Vista. I kept it long enough to do my report, then reformatted with XP.
Gaming is horrid and impossible, even with an ultra-high end system, several conflicts with quite a few drivers, and if your comp can't run the glass-like windows, your pretty much stuck to the basic Windows 98 look (no complaints about the Win98 look, I have XP configed to that).Comment

Re: Windows Vista Beta Opento Public
As there is almost no software out there supporting the 64bit functionality, try the 32bit one.
I would suggest put it on a new hard disk or a partition of an existing drive. 20gig at least.
This is a public beta release, thats why its free of charge. Works for 180 days only.
All you need is a valid mail address and a LIVE-Account (former MSN Passport) account.
If you meet all these requirements, i'd say go try it out to make your own opinion about it
I dont regret it, its the future of windows operating systems :pComment

2.32 bit programs will still work on a 64bit OS.
3.It's a beta, not the final product.
4. Yes that's how it seems.
5. I don't know.
6. Like I said, get either one.Comment
