Will this GPU and PSU work well in my system?

    Hi,

    I thought of upgrading my computer, a Dell Optiplex 280 P4 3.4 GHz, 2GB RAM 305W PSU, x800xl(broken).

I'm looking at an Antec TruePower 2.0 480W 120mm fan ATX 2.0 and a 7900GT(rec manufacturer?) and I wonder if they will run fine in my system, particularily the GPU, or if there will be some serious bottleneck making me get less "bang for the buck"?

I know I will have to cut a hole in the case to be able to connect the cord to the PSU but that's just a minor detail, I dont care how the back of my comp looks like anyway:)

What else do you have in your computer? I kinda think you may need more power, cause the 7900GT's are big power sucks from what I hear.

Hmm let's see... I've got a DVD, a CD-RW/burner drive and a 3.5 disk reader and a Creative 24bit soundcard. Nothing too fancy really.

I had a look on newegg and according to them a eVGA 7900gt requires a "Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply".

You think it's gonna be tight or should I just but a 530 or 580W? Actually I'm thinking of getting a proper sound card eventually so maybe I better...
