Which ATI drivers?

I wanted to dl new drivers since mine were a year old. So i dl the 6.4 Cats, but im having problems with it. When i minimize it goes to the desktop and the screen flashes. Also sometimes in BF2 when theres an explosion near me the screen picture gets distorted fo a sec. So i want to know what version do you think i should dl to not have any problems. I have the Radeon Xpress 200 graphics so i need the IGP drivers.

Also since i already started this thread ill ask this in here. I was going to upgrade my graphics card now, but im going to camp in 3 weeks and i decided that it would be better to wait til after camp when the prices drop. Im going to be coming back in 2 months so i was wondering how much (in canadian dollars) do you think the prices for a 7600GT will drop.

There are no big price drops slated for video cards. I'm suprised you can even play with onboard video, much less not have issues. The Catalyst 6.5 is what I'm using and recommend. Stay away from 6.3, and 6.4 at all costs.

ok thanks the problem is they havent made a 6.5 IGP cat drivers. Thats the problems because of the on-board graphics i need to get a dif driver

Are you using a laptop? Or is it a standard computer with integrated graphics?

Its a desktop computer with integrated graphics.

Then the standard drivers should work fine. What is telling you that they won't?

I dl the 6.2 cats and they work really well. So does anyone know if the price of a 7600GT would drop in the next 2 months and how much?(in canadian $). Also what are the PSU requirements for a 7600GT?

well the picture distortion you see is the shellshock effect from the xplosion.
i think the psu requirements are 350w minimum.

not really, i would like to know if it would be worth it to wait untill i get home from camp 2 months from now to upgrade my video card to a 7600GT or do it now? Also how much do u think the price of a 7600GT(in canadian $) will drop in the 2 months.

If you are curious of what drivers to use i would recommed the following:

DHzer0point 0.65 Released (ATI) Built on the Chuck fix version of the Catalyst 6.5

-Rearranged Video playback optimizations
-Increased optimizations for Texture fill and texture quality
-Further overall gameplay and Iq enhancements
-TAA enabled by default, we felt that although the overall FPS was a bit lower game performance was smoother.
-AAA performance enabled by default it just looks so nice that the small performance hit is worth it.
-High Quality AF enabled by Default
-Area Anisotrophy Enabled by default
