Does Ati chipset work with Nvidia graphics????

    Does Ati chipset work with Nvidia graphics????

    Hi,

    I am thinking about getting an Asus T2-AH1 shuttle barebone system. (for looks & performance) only prob is it has an Ati northbridge Radeon Xpress 200 & onboard graphics

    It does have a pci-e 16x slot which I am gona fill with an Nvidia 7xxx graphics card.
    Question is: will this combo conflict with each other or should I stick with an Ati Card? (x800)

    also I read sum where you can run 3 - 4 monitors off it at same time? do u think it will run a game in this mode?

      Don't buy that mobo. The xpress 200 chipset is one of the worst around. Buggy, bad usb speed, and prone to not working. Try to get one based on either the xpress 3200 or nforce 4 (or 5) chipset.

          There is no reason to get an ATI chipset unless you plan on going with crossfire in the future.

          NF4 > ATI RD580

              there wont be any combo comflict but nforce 4 chipsets would be a better choice

                  Most cards support 2 monitors, and most games only support 1 monitor. For example when I'm playing BF2, my main monitor displays the game and my secondary monitor just shows the desktop.

                      Ah yes but I have a game that does support multiple monitors (liveforspeed), so can I spread my FOV over 3 monitors for example? Is this possible on an NF4 board?

                      Will any micro size atx board fit in the shuttle case?

                          Like I said, most cards support 2 cards. For more than 2 monitors you would need more than 1 card. The MOBO really has nothing to do with it.

                              If the mobo has on-board vga & I add a card i will have 3 outputs in total, so surely the mobo does have something to do with it?
