trick windows into thinking I have two soundcards?

I'm using DFINF4 Ultra-d onboard sound, and I've configured so the aux input to output. What I want to do is make windows think that that output is a seperate piece of hardware, so that I can have ventrilo set to only come out of that output and into my headphones. Is this possible?

I am having trouble understanding what you want to do.... do you want to be able to have your vent go directly to your headset, and the regular sound to speakers?

The extra input/output ports on the DFI are for digital SPD/IF sound, and i do not believe will work how you want. Yor options are tied to the regular minijacks.
