portforwarding not working

Please help, i have followed the steps on portforward.com or whatever that site was. Someone please give me step by step and help me out I want to host a server.

What equipment do you have? (Router, internet connection, etc.)

We do need equipment to give step-by-step but for just having a couple of friends connect to your server, forward port 16567 to the internal IP of the server and have your friends connect using the routers external IP.

No need for gamespy query info unless you have a couple megs of upload available.

Open up a command prompt-start\all programs\accessories\command prompt and then type in ipconfig. It will list your IP Address which should be something like 192.168.1.xx. That is your Internal(Lan) ip address.

thanks, i thank it worked, except hosting it on bf42 right now. I believe it worked...anywayz. Ill tell you in the next couple of days if my friends can join.
