hey guys, currently i have 1 gig of ram (2x512) and i am planning on getting 2 gigs but i dont know what to do. Should i get another 2 512's (which i heard was a bad idea) or get kit with 2 1 gig's and sell my other 2 512's on ebay. Which one. I have a 7600GT and im plaing all on high including textures with the showdos etc. on meduim with no AA. Can it go higher than that with 2 gigs?

If your not a performance freak, or don't plan on overclocking, just get 4x512. If either of those apply to you then get 2x1GB.

nah, im not a proformance freak. But what do you think settings i can have with 4x 512's with a 7600GT? all high with 2x AA? or lower?

sry my video card is overclocked 580/1500

Right now its:

Terrain: High
Effects: High
Geometry: High
Texture: High
Shadows: Meduim
Lighting: Meduim
Dynamic Lighting: Meduim
AA- None

i play these setting on like 50 player servers in Wake. I dont dare play these settings on a 64 player server in a map like karkland.

also is this good ram this is the cheapest i found

You need to try to match the ram you have now. As for playing on all high, you might be able to, I'm not 100% on that one.

i think i should be able to do that. Or i can keep the same settings and enjoy the better fps.
