    Help With Graphics Card

    im thinking of buying another graphics card from newegg, cause my 5500 is total crap (almost all low settings) will this card work on my computer?

    all i know is that i have a dell dimensions 8300, thats about the extent of my computer knowledge.
    and if it wont, can someone recomend a card (preferabley under$150)
    remember, I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT COMPUTERS plz dont confuse me with wierd computer talk
    anyway, can anyone help me?

    anyone wanna maybe help me??

    No, that card won't work. Your computer has an AGP interface. The card you're looking at is PCI express (PCI-E). These are nice cards in your price range...

      oh umm not to confuse, but do you know how much RAM you have?

        thanks for helping, someone had told me about my comp not having pci express once, so thats y i needed to ask someone. so know i know i have a AGP, ...thing...lol whatever that is. i like the last one. i only have about 100$ now, but im gonna save up some more and get a better card. do u know how these cards u listed (mainly the last one or two) play bf2? medium/high? medium/low?

            lol i think i have 2......i think. i bought 1 gig from newegg a few months ago. i either have 2 or 1.5. im gonna check sometime.
            Any of those cards will run BF2 on medium/high with decent frame rates.

                Others have told me that these are real good ones and they will run BF2 on HIGH will they and are they good ones.

                I mainly just want to play BF2 on HIGH/max. I do not want to go over $300. I have a PCI-Express slot and here are my specs

                1GB, 200GB Hard Drive 7200 RPM, 2.2 ghz, Media Center edition, PCI-Express slot, came with a Nvidia GeForce 6100, 1024 MB DDR Dual channel memory, AMD Athlon 64 processor 3700+
