upgrade decision

HI i was wondering if i could upgrade my pc

my current system specs are

intel celeron 2.8ghz
512mb
80gb
128mb radeon 9250
onboard sound card

would i be able to change this to

amd athlon 64 3800 dual core processor
nforce 4 motherboard
put 250 gb in
another 1.5 gb ram
sound blaster audigy 2 zs
256mb geforce 7600 gt

You forgot a case and power supply, unless you were planning on just leaving it lying on the table after you put everything together. It you were planning on using your current case it is doubtful whether it would be larger enough or provide enough airflow for the new parts.

Also is is debateable whether you would want to use your current 512 mb of ram with the new computer depending on what speed and type it is.

it wouldnt hurt to get the 7800 or the 7900GT but not the 7900GTX because the 7900GTX clock speeds can eaisly be achieved by overclocking the 7900GT
