video card decision

I found out i am able to get an new video card. I know somewhat about video cards but not enough to decide on my own. I need a PCI Express video card and my budget is $200 CND. I would prefer to buy from http://www.ncix.com/ or http://www.tigerdirect.ca (note: all prices are in CANADIAN DOLLARS). Let's put it this way, it would be a massive improvment over your current onboard. And as an added bonus, with getting it from NCIX you have the opportunity to pricematch as well. This place here,

Edit: nevermind what I said about NCIX and pricematching. After posting this I saw under you name that you live in Toronto. Save the hassle of ordering online and just go down to the corner of College and Spadina and go to Filtech yourself.

And as a little aside to going down there. If you do go, start walking west along College and there is something like 20-30 different computers stores all within a stones throw of each other.

A good card, if you can stretch your dollar, go with the 760GT, but the x1600 isnt bad. Should be able o run BF2 at med/high graphics.

Im not able to stretch my budget. Also how do you do the price match for the cards? And another question would i be able to run this card with a 350W PSU?

intel celeron 2.8ghz
512mb
80gb
128mb radeon 9250
onboard sound card

would i be able to change this to

amd athlon 64 3800 dual core processor
nforce 4 motherboard
put 250 gb in
another 1.5 gb ram
sound blaster audigy 2 zs
256mb geforce 7600 gt

If it's a good quality 350W psu, it should be ok. Have a look here,

just slect the components you already have and use the 1600 instead of your current card.

As for pricematching at NCIX, like I said, why bother. Save on the shipping and the major hassle of returning it if something goes wrong/arrives DOA, and just head down to where I said and linked to.

NCIX is not the be-all-and-end-all of places to buy parts from. Filtech actually has a very good reputation for price and customer service (must be why I have spent serveral hundred there over the last couple of years).

Well I live in Thornhill not Toronto, i just put toronto cuz everyone knows where that is. Also there is a tigerdirect.ca store 15min from where i live so i might buy from there

only X160XT I can find listed on their site.

And Thirnhill is not like your 50 miles from the city, drive down to Steeles subway station and take the train downtown. If Filtech has the card in stock (you'd have to wait till 10:30 to call and find out) you could be down there and back and have the card installed tomorrow afternoon.
