Good evening Folks!
Ok so I install the sims 2 yet again. I go to play and get "Failed to enumerate any Direct X 9 compatibl graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a Direct X 9 Compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest manufacturer provided driver. The application will now termintae..."

Ive definitly played TS2 before with my NvIdia FX 5500 fine but not on my new Radeon 9600 Pro (even though its on the recommended list for TS2). So I went to the webby and it said to make sure Directdraw Accelerations, Direct3D Acceleration, and AGP Texture Acceleration is enabled. DDA? Check and enabled. D3A? Check and enabled. AGPT? Greyed out button that reads "disable", a not available where Enabled should be and no test button. Wum, Wum. Sigh. Can anybody help? (i have 9.0c I just updated the drivers... no effect.)

Anyway, you seem to have swapped video cards. Starting at the beginning, did you uninstall the drivers for the old card?

hmm lemme check... theyre probably gone since it was quite a while back but ill check.....

Start with uninstalling your current video drivers. Then re-install the AGP/GART driver, and then re-install the video drivers.

Ok in the ATI control panel (catalyst) in the SmartGart.. everything is off (AGP acceleration i thin) Wtf is wrong there?

I can change it but after restart it goes back to 0X and off

Start with uninstalling your current video drivers. Then re-install the AGP/GART driver, and then re-install the video drivers.
